class of 2007
The first wave was sent to school in 2003 even though there was no financial backing. The theory was that the money would come once the project was running. That is what we had heard from potential sponsors. For three years the foundation experienced (albeit decreasing) income deficits. It wasn’t until the forth year (2007) that an expected surplus made it possible to expand the number of SmartKids. This group was financial supported by the ASML foundation during the 2007-2010 period. This is that second wave and their stories.

I therefore appealing to Smartkids Foundation to sponsor me to achieve my dream of becoming a journalist in future so that l can also in my small way help other children. Thank you.
